I updated my vehicle ownership on my 05 FX4 and filed a complaint about the sparkplug issue, they documented the complaint so I was told maybe if we all called ford and bitched about the plugs breaking in half they would so something, miracles do happen!!!

This has been a known issue for a very long time. If Ford were interested in correcting it they would have taken action a long time ago.
Ya I know but it can't hurt to send a complaint into them about it,GM is worth half of what Avon is and they are running out of money,if ford wants to keep customers they should stand behind there product or go the way of GM,we bought our first non Ford in 20 plus years,2008 Dodge Caliber, simply because the price and options were better than Ford, and the fact that I have spark plugs that will break in half!!!
You bought a Dodge 1/2 car, 1/2 SUV because the F-150 has a tendancy to break sparkplugs?
You would have been better off with a 260 hp Edge. Hope that Lifetime Warranty and $3/gal deal ends up being worth it...I don't think so and I own a Dodge right now
c'mon guys...it's an issue, but only in a tiny percentage of vehicles. Everybody is getting bent out of shape over something that might potentially occur at the 100k point...that's at least 7+ yrs for people who put 12k/yr on their vehicle
No (the wife)bought a dodge because she liked it and ford had nothing in comparison price and option wise 40mpg goes along way as does the warranty,I love my fords, also have an 80 Mustang, but this plug issue is bull @#$%.
yea the plug issue is a problem. But be thankful that with gas so high, it may take 20 years to put 70k miles on your truck b4 you have to change them. I myself am hoping to trade in my truck for a 2010 model b4 i change my plugs.
It's not a small percentage of the trucks, I own one so it is 100% possible that I will have the problem. And the time you have to take to change the plugs is crazy! I am on my second F-150(04&06) and would never think of having anything else-except the plug problem. Yeh Yeh, every truck has its problems, but I can't lose my truck for a couple of weeks to pull a head off to get a plug out, and I sure as heck don't like the idea that I have to pay for it too! Yet I like the trucks enough to be thinking of an '08 4X4. Ford really does need to address this problem and I have no doubt I would stay Ford forever. (And the Edge is over priced. My wife has a Hyundai Sante Fe, more options and less money)
And that is the problems with americans. More options and less money.
Our country is swamped with made in china crap, because more options and less money.
That is also why we outsource just about everything. That is the number one reason that we are having a job shortage. That is the number one reason that in 6 years america will be a third world country. Your wife is very patriotic. We should all support countrys that have no child labor laws and has the cheapest labor. Nothing like sending your goverment check over seas.
I was just wondering ? I have been hearing all the horror stories of the plug issue ! This is my plan , I have Ford Factory 75,000 bumper to bumper warrenty on my 2005 Screw , and will schedule a full tune up plugs & all around 65,000 miles this should cover me ??? I know the dealer will hit me hard but if they break the plugs its there *** ! It really is sad cause I love to do things my self . I hope my plan works 25,000 miles to go !!!!!

Wrong. If they break the plugs there is no warranty expressed or implied, and you'll get charged for new heads, as happened to a few people around here.
the only way Ford will change the plugs and cover it under warranty is if there is an underlying problem and they diagnose the plugs to be the cause or directly affected/damaged
