Ever since I've owned my 77 truck there has been a very noticeable spot on the cowl wher the white paint has been chipping off. I'm not sure why or how this happened but I would really like to just repair this spot rather than having the entire thing repainted.(that's alot farther down on the to-do list lol) If anyone has any advice on how I can fix this easily I would reaaly appreciate it. Here's a pic that you can kinda see where the paint has fleked off right above the badges:
The cheapest would be to pry the emblem off, sand the cowl smooth, tape it off, buy a can of primer and paint to match. The easiest is to take it to a paint and body shop and let them redo the cowl. Shop around and see if you can find a deal.
The paint pen sounds like a great idea but it's too large of an area to do that with. I believe it was repainted at one point and my guess is that the cowl was't prepped right or something. You can probably see better views of the cowl in my gallery. I'd like to go to a paint and body shop but have no clue where one is in phoenix.
