paint matching a dent
Hey guys. Got an awesome dentside last weekend. 78 f100 ranger, hot little 302 from a lincoln, rebuilt c6, just a great little truck. Only has one rust spot on the body (drivers side wheel well) and the hood is obviously a rattle can replacement. But the rest of the truck is solid except for some dents. Id like to fix the rust and match the paint (I believe it is a medium copper color). My question is: What is the best place to purchase a quart of paint that would match? Or would it be best to just have a good body shop match it?

The "best place" for color-matched paint is an autobody paint jobber.
Metallics typically require more than shooting the repaired area. It has to be blended into the rest of the panel.
Have a shop do it and call it done.
