Made sure both Valves were closed and Rotor was aimed at #1 on Distributor. Then I loosened #1 Adjustor where I had some play in the Rocker. Then I tightened it up to 0 Lash, and then put a white ink mark on the Adjustor and tightened it 1 1/2 Turns. Then I turned Crankshaft till I saw another set of valves closed and repeated the steps till I adjusted ALL of them. I've got 40psi at the Schrader Valve. Have a new Coil and am getting good Fire. Have new Air Filter. Have new Plugs, Oil and Filter, and Coolant. Have checked Fuel Cut Off Switch and all Grounds. WILL NOT RUN! Turns over real good. Have noticed when I hold accelerator to the floor it sounds like it's trying to crank. Have NEVER seen an engine I couldn't make run till NOW! Anybody have ANY ideas? The reason I replaced Heads was cause Engine overheated and blew the Head Gasket on the #2 cylinder. The #2 was literally pumping coolant for bout 15 minutes till I got home with it.

Been a while since I did it, but I think 1-1/2 turns to set the valve lash was too much for mine, wound up being more like 3/4 of a turn. Could be that you're holding the valves open a bit.
Also, make sure that you're not 180º out on the distributor. When you have the engine at TDC, if you turn the crank back and forth a little bit while looking at the valves for #1 cylinder, they can be right between opening and closing so if you see any valve movement at all, then you're 180º out. This will also affect your valve lash.
