Welcome to FTE. I mounted mine between the visors so I could hear it.
Not all the same year model, but here's a thread addressing the same thing. Billybob probably has the nicest looking set up.

I have an 02, My galaxy is mounted in that bare spot just under the little pocket in the dash to the right of the little hook. It's real convenient to adjust FQs/Cal/ect on the fly.
To mount it, I had to pull that piece of trim, cut a couple of slots and I bolted the bracket to a piece of aluminum to spread the weight.
