regulator on MAP sensor

Someone told me to put a regulator on the map sensor vacuum hose and regulate it 6lbs so the sensor won't cut off the fuel pressure, and the turbo can build up more boast. Will this harm anything?

Some people do this when they make big boost #'s and set the regulator at 22psi. You only need to do this if you make more than 25psi boost.

Yep Neal is right on. You will want it set much higher than 6 psi. I am set right around 22 right now.

It won't be needed on a stock truck. its not needed on some modded trucks either. Some like mine need it. Some trucks its an issue some its not.
