Im looking for the easiest way to make a Map sensor boost regulator. Using a Air compressor regulator seems like it would be hard to set it properly. Any information and pictures on what you have would be helpful.
thanks.
buy one that is already built to do the job, they are only $30.00. i was going to make one myself but once i started adding up what it would cost with a gauge to set it, plus not knowing for sure it was blowing off at the right pressure, and the fact that every regulator i found had a maximum operating temp of 90-100*(i think it gets hotter than that under the hood) i forked out the 30 bucks have not worried about
I had the "pop off" style form Dieselsite but found that it didn't pop off or release at the calibrated psi over time.
The mini regulator from http://www.itpdiesel.com/ is an industrial adjustable regulator that can be fine tuned to the exact psi. you want and then locked in.
You can get them at Graingers, Carr McMaster, etc. and make your own if you like.
