are you talking about trying to remove the whole thing??? that seems way to complicated.
i would unplug the electrical connection on the intake side of the turbo. i dont have a picture, but someone else will.
Then you just have to find the actuator and move it open.

You can take it out without removing the turbo. But the rod will be left sticking out there. Sooner or later, it will start leaking.
Pull the down pipe off the turbo.
Slide the collar back on the actuator rod and remove the rod from the butterfly tang.
Pull the three bolts holding the EBPV to the exhaust housing (much penatrating oil)
Grind the rivots off the butterfly and remove it.
Drop the rod out, and either plug the holes with freeze plugs or weld them closed.
Re-install
