Question EBPV Linkage Removal

Need some help Guys and Gals. The old turbo is ready to come out but I can't figure out how to get the EBPV linkage off.

I just searched for you Robin with no luck. Isn't there a clip that you have to remove to free up the rod?

I have had my turbo out twice. Pain in the butt but possible. Just slide it down the rod. Is quite hard the first time.

Thanks Guys. I thought I felt a clip. Sure is a lot of room to work under there.

Got the linkage off. Needle nose vise grips. It sure is easy when you know what the hell you're doing.

Thanks Again

I was originally thinking about the D66 turbo upgrade, it's a drop in, but that wouldn't address the up-pipe issue. For the same price of the D66 I got a TN-BB turbo (with ceramic coated exhaust housing and 1.0 outlet), non-EBPV pedastel, y-pipe, cac boots, 3" plenums, 4" turbo intake hose, bellowed up-pipes (ceramic coated) and a few other goodies. All as a kit, used but in great shape. Next is injectors and a 17° HPOP, when I can afford it.

Way to go, Robin. Great score on all those parts. Sounds like you got a good deal.

Wow that must have been one pretty penny there Robin, sounds like you got one killer deal though. It isn't Kris's old set up is it?
