I cannot help with much of this but the low mpg, white smoke & lack of power may be a boost leak. At least aggrevating things. Check all six rubber boots as a starting point. Good luck

What kind of air intake do you have? Does the truck use oil? How long does the battery light stay on when the key is off? Is it on permanently, or does it go off after a couple of minutes?

I like Jay's idea about checking the boots to make sure they're tight. Have you considered cleaning the EBP tube? Some of the 99's had problems with small leaks in the on the drivers side that would drip on the back of the fuse panel. That might explain your battery light issue. Next time it rains you might pull the fuse panel out and see if there's any signs of moisture there.

With 18lbs of boost id think you have a boost leak somewhere, fixing that should also help your MPG's too

You could have a stuck thermostat, If it stays open it will cool the motor too much, and cause inefficent burning.

k&n cold air intake system
the truck doesnt burn oil
the battery light is always on when the ignition is off

the smoke out the exhaust smells like lighter fluid (first thing that came to mind when i smelt it)

im just worried its an injector problem b/c i heard its $$$$ but i dont really know how much they are

Your K&N intake probably isn't doing you any favors. Other than that I can't help you much.

it could be a leaking diode or wiring problem
with the alternator plugged in the orange wire should be hot at all times but the other should not

i check the voltage and i have 9.5 on the orange wire
but when i check one of the batteries i had 12.3 on the post and 10.5 on the connection to the post so that should be a dirty connection problem

the other problems is what worries me and it seems to take a second longer to start up than usual

Clean all battery connections and coat the terminals with noalox before putting the clamps on. This will help with conductivity and also help to stop corrosion. Do you know how old the batteries are? Low batteries can cause all sorts of problems with these trucks. You may want to consider changing out both batteries.

As for that P-603 internal kam error, thats normal with our Superchips programmer. I got it too and is no worries, just the truck letting you know its chipped.
