i cleaned the battery post and the light still stays on with the ignition off but goes off when the ignition is turned on
but after a week the truck still turns over great like there is no lost of battery life

Did you check and clean the black/orange wire that connects to the alternator. That stud should show battery voltage. If not, the wire itself may be damaged or corroded somewhere in between.

im probably just bring it to a mechanic b/c of the other problems so i will have them check it out
