strange 460 prob

strange 460 prob

ok now this has me baffled i know a 60 is a 60 from old till new(pretty much) and i have never had this problem before. on my 96 if i run it hard(over 3500 rpm) ill come to a stop and hear a top end loud tick. im thinking either the oil return holes could be partly stoped up or mabe the oil holes in the push rods pluged or somthing on that order. i do have realy good oil psi yet and no bottom end noise. any ideas?

HI, been thinking more since yesterday and think you should look for weak valve springs or faulty lifter's. hope this helps ? ignore my previous reply as the result of a bad day
