I plan to take a creeper in case I cant get them to put it on a lift..to check the underside for damage, rust, leaks, etc etc etc etc ...
Heres a couple pics
The only thing im not really wild about is going to be the automatic tranny, would rather have a stick but for the price, Ill make due!
Thanks for the input! Already have a few mods I wanna do
I would get a Carfax and an Oasis report to start with. If it checks out. go over it very closely and then take a decent drive......at least 30 minutes. As you probably know, there were some problems with the 6.0's, especially 03's and 04's. It is a buyers market now, so be very picky. If the truck was put in service in 03, your engine warranty will be running out this year. The Carfax will tell you this info. Go down to the 6.0 forum for a lot more info on some of the problems.
You'll love the TorqShift tranny, its not like their previous automatics at all. Great looking truck, Sport package gets you that interior and body-colored bumpers. Wish mine was a crew cab
19.8k is what they are asking ... they have around 10 different diesel trucks on the lot, so If I dont like this one, Im sure ill come home with something - of course the newer ones are a bit higher.
