Dang! i was hoping to finish mine before you!

Sorry to beat you to it! Processor has been built for 2 months but I had to tear it down and move it 2 weeks after it was built then it sat torn apart for a month and now its processing again!

Oh well.
I have everything done but got a mystery leak in my drum...
It appears that the water is coming straight through the sheet metal.
And i am doing a cone bottom on it, based on a little math and a little mig welder...

I had one of those leaks in my settling drum but I knew where it was coming from (hole in my weld) problem was I already had 35 gallons of bio in it!! I couldn't believe it but the clear silicon I had on hand sealed the wet BD covered metal!
ya, it isnt easy welding on the drums. i suspect that it has something to do with the weld i made, but it's an inch away...
but that silicone stuff hopefully stopped it. dont know yet, it's still curing.
i just happened to run across some stainless parts that were leftovers from a gas plant project for my mini bio d processor. centrifuge would be slick maybe one of theese days when i build a big one!! i would like to have the small one and one that i can make 100gal batches in. it makes it tough to find alot of the right materials since galvanized and copper ya need to stay away from. i was lookin at some plastic bottom funnel ag tanks i think that would be pretty nice and be able to see through it.
Tj, where do you get your methanol form and where did you get most your info to get you started. I dont think ill have a problem building it its just knowing how to build it. I need to learn more on the process.
Thanks
I get methanol at a local place called David Allen Racing. I live in a resort area with sand dunes. So there are alot of dirt bikes, sand rails and sand drags around that use methanol.
I learn all about making Bio from some of these links
.
Dude you are what makes America great - not afraid to go for it! Watch out though. The politicians don't like ingenuity or innovation. They'll be wanting to have you get environmental permits next and after them they'll want to tax you! Hopefully we can get these jerks that claim to represent us out of there before they come gunnin' for you.
