Due to a crappy puller while changing the pulley on my air conditioning compressor I need to replace the compressor. Are there any o rings or anything else I should get for the job since the system will be empty?
cracked the shaft where the snap ring seats. don't use a cheap two arm puller while replacing the clutch. Are there any o rings or seals that need replaced for the lines? Thanks ya'll
I would imagine that there are o-rings where the lines connect to the compressor. How are you going to empty the system? If it were me I would go ahead and replace them been as they will be right there.
there will be some sort of o-ring or seal there. i would have someone at a shop empty it and charge it for you. definately DO NOT charge it with the "conversion kits" you can get at autozone, they call em "death kits"

yeah, the seals at the lines should be replaced. If you luck out, they'll come in the box with the new compressor. If not, they should only be about $.30 each.. make sure you get like 4 oz' of compressor oil too.. or you'll be doing it again in about ten days...
