I was wondering if there was a bracket to bolt a York 210 compressor onto my 302? I don't have power steering or A/C, so there is plenty of room. I'm looking for one so that I don't have to work so hard to line up the pulley with the rest of the pulleys.
yeah, its the older style square one, I was looking for hopefully the stand up bracket. Which side of the motor does it fit on, because I have plenty of room on the driver side.
I believe virtually all of those older York & Tecumseh compressors mounted on the driver side so you should be able to find one somewhere. I assume you will also be using traditional v-belts not a serpentine style and are trying to maintain a timely underhood "look". Otherwise the newer style compressors usually take less power to drive. What about refrigerant? R-12 or R134? Will you also be adding power steering? A complete swap-in may make the whole job easier. Even so, some customizing may be needed to obtain the right alignment of pulleys.
Take a complete inventory of all possible variables and associated costs before jumping in. (Just a little voice of previous experience...)
