Setting up my OBA system. I have 2 York compressors in my parts pile, both are the large, 210 model. Only difference is that they have different heads and hose connectors. The one on the left was already being used for OBA on the donor truck and the one on the right was already unhooked when it was pulled from the vehicle so I'm not sure what they used it for.
basically I'm wondering if one is better than the other or if they just changed the shape over the years and it doesn't matter.
The one on the left looks like one commonly found on 77-79 Ford trucks. I know its a good candidate but I cant say if its better or worse than the one on the right.
There may be one that is better than the other but only because of the length of the stroke. York air compressor. About 1/3 of the way down the page tells how to id which one you have.

They are both york 210(long stroke). Confirmed this by checking the end of the shaft. Just wondering why they appear to have different heads.
Are they both labeled York? I think motorcraft made one very similar to the york, could be that with small differences possibly.. Other than that, can't think of anything. I have the one on the left in my Bronco and it works great.

The one on the left has a tag that says FoMoCo, also has some other numbers. The one on the right has a tag that looks pretty much the same but says Motorcraft.
I just though all the compressors that looked like this were made by York and then the car company put their own tag on it.
