in the past i have read some posts about fram oil filters and i believe they are right. My last oil change i swiched to the motor craft filter, and today i changed my oil and i thoght the filter actually felt a little heavier than the fram after the oil change like it worked a little better. Also the oil preasure seamed to pick up faster. any way thats my 2 sense. I have to say fram oil filters are junk.
A friend of mine uses them all the time, he has had an oil related engine failure on both his Talon and his Chevy truck (350)... Yet he still uses them....
My brother in law redid his mustang from the ground up. Stroked his 302 to a 347. The engine knocked heavily with a fram filter. I made him change it to a motorcraft and there was no knock.
I am a firm believer in not using fram products. They are not allowed in my garage.
