I'm with the safty crowd. They are called bumpers for a reason. I can remember getting chewed out by my dad when I was a teen for driving w/o one when I was working on it. He explained to me the safety issues. I never had given it a thought till then. With what the older trucks are worth I wouldn't be w/o either one driving with all the kamakaze drivers out there.

jmho ! !

60 doesn't match. So I kept the front and kept off the back.

Seemed like the PO thought the same way too ...

Bumpers? Figure without has got to be as safe as riding my Harleys (48, 68 & 97). Safety is over rated

I voted for stock looking bumpers front and rear, have chrome on the "55" but it doesn't matter, as long as they're stock looking,

This bumper discussion reminded me of a '56 F100 I saw at the Motor Magic show in Minot, ND, last Labor Day. I like the way the bumper wraps around the front of the truck.

Now, back to the thread.

I have brand new stainless for the 56 but I really want the 55 to be bumperless. I, like some others like mine LOOOOWWWW so I really don't feel like the the bumpers do that much good anyways. So I can't vote unless it lets me vote twice.

I've never seen that! That does look sweet. Looks he cut the bumper and welded on some corners, then had the bumper replated. Very cool. I'd do the same on the rear to make a matched set.

Got a set of bumpers in our raffle this year. You were very lucky last year Ed too bad you can't make the show this year and buy some of those tickets.

Got to have a front bumper to scrap the ground going up my driveway.
