you could delaminate it a bit and cut out the section for your instrument gauges and have a great dash!. The part I assume is a nose piece for the hood?
It takes a buck tooth guy to handle this one. It's a nose piece for a 52 with the 215 OHV I-6. A one year only piece, in very good shape. I went to $85 on eBay for a NOS one a while back and lost. Junk ones go for $20+ when they come available. I found mine on a yard tour of Arizona a couple years ago. Paid $20 and will have to have it rechromed and a new pin made. You got a heck of a deal.

I just cleaned it up and now plan to repaint red to match my Deluxe Cab hood trim. I may rechrome later, i still have another year of work on this truck.
Kind of an Odd trim piece, looks like a WWII pilots jacket pit or something.
I have to admit, it's almost better looking than the V8 nose piece! What exactly is the center part supposed to represent? It appears to be 4 equal parts?

i like the fact thats it's unique, but i have no idea what it represents myself.......
here's picture of the NOS one spoke of, you can see it alittle better.
Guys, I just went through every piece of literature I've got with no description of the dumb thing. Maybe if ND stops by he'll have more resources. Stu

I got the above diagram out of my Ford truck parts illustrated catalog. In the Text catalog it said the part was no longer offered.
