CD Changer questions

I'm a newbie and need some help.

97 F150 Lariat Extended Cab.
Factory installed 6 CD Changer (installed in the side wall of the truck, behind the drivers seat....don't ask me, I didn't design it)

Can anyone tell me how the beast is removed?
I'm getting NO CD message. If I pop the cassette, and reinsert it, it shuffles from one CD to the next, but never plays it. I figure it needs a cleaning.

CD Changer questions

I haven't taken one out of a '97, but you may want to get a can of compressed air. Spray it in, and see if the eye is covered. I have to spray mine every so often just to 'stir' things up a bit....

CD Changer questions

I tried the compressed air thing...to no avail.

Guess I'll throw the floodlights in the back and go "Easter-Eggin"..till I find out how many things need to be removed to be left with just a CD Changer.
