time away for a while :-(

gotta go away for a bit but will be back. it's finally dry here and while it's dry, gotta dig in the dirt while i can and do my computer business after dark. since there's only so many hours in the day, i'm not going to be able to check the goings on for a while. mixed emotions about being away because i'm gonna miss out on the info, but while it's dry, gotta make some money. see y'all soon.

I envy you. I sit in front of computers all day long. While I make very good money at it, I wish I could be back in Texas working on my truck, or building something, or ??? Anything to be outside

my wife keeps telling me that the only difference between men and boys is the size of their clothes and the price of their toys. in my case, it's the SIZE of the toys. i do love the trackhoe and digging in the dirt. guess i never outgrew the sandbox. LOL

Don't you do the paste form of dirt?

Here is my lower almost flat yard yesterday.

By the time the water stopped raising, the street sign was under water.
What a day.

Digging dirt......mud today.

We had a bad flood in 97 on the Ohio. It was good fishing. I buddy of mine caught nice blue that got wrapped up in a swingset. He got the fish, weighed in the 50's. Got into them in a park also. We were catching them off of picknick tables.

I did get a prop. I hit a road sign.

Somebody complained to the police. They complained about us being out there with the river like it was. I heard they told them that "those river rats" got allot of people out of their houses and "those river rats know this river and how to handle it better then any of us".

Actually it was a tree limb.

We do have lots of ducks and geese, which were enjoying all the water, but that was not one of them.

The ducks and geese really had a party as the water started going back down.
Smorgass board water fowl style.
