This go around the coupon doesn't say Xtra Guard. It should be easier to buy them this go around. I got 10 last time. I am set for a while. Also remember they keep the coupons at the front of the store. No need to get one in the paper.

It also seems that PEP Boys only puts out two CH 9549 at a time. I went back to one place a couple hours later and two more were on the shelf.

Even with that coupon it wouldn't propel me to go get a scam I mean Fram. I'm sorry I couldn't pass that up to get a ribbing in on some Fram filters. I'm a pretty hardcore WIX filter man.

I was in a Wallmart in CA a couple of weeks ago, and they had the Supertech filters for $5 - I think it was a clearance. Might check that out if you don't want Fram.

Like Firemanpat29 said Racor makes the 6.0L engine oil filters for both Motorcraft and Fram, so they are exactly the same. This is a great deal for those of us with the 6.0L engine, and most of us try to stock up when this coupon comes around ($3.50 each is a lot nicer than $15+ each that we normally pay). A member here that had a bunch already was kind enough to mail me 9 of them since the nearest Pep Boys is 3 hours away from me.

So while you gasser's and 7.3 guys might not be all that excited, it is very nice that Firemanpat29 decided to post about this deal in here. We usually have a thread about it in the 6.0L forum, but not everybody in here visits there all that often.

Thanks for chiming in about the gasser and 7.3 thing.

I didn't realize that Fram, or Pepboys didn't make filters for the 7.3, or the Duramax. I tried to stock up on all the expensive ones I usually change at home, but only the 6.0 guy lucked out.

FRAM offers filters for the 7.3L and D-Max.

It just happens that the oil filters for the 6.0L are Racor in a FRAM box. This is a good thing for 6.0L owners since Racor is also what is in a Motorcraft box...

Yeah, Fram does, but Pep boys doesn't stock them. Their catalog and computer don't even list them as possibilities. I've gotten them from wal mart for the Dmax. I just get the FL 1995 for the 7.3's though.
