Ok, well Im a proud owner of a 2003 F350 Dually with the 6.0 Ive recently came across some money (about $5000). Ive been wanting to do my truck up for a while now but dont know where to start. Im thinking a intake, exhaust would be a good start. But dont know what brand, size to go with. I came across a AEM intake Brute Force and a 4" turbo back exhaust from MBRP I really like. What do you guys think? Also, what else do you guys think I should do now to prepare for a performance chip and/or propane in the near future? Id definitely appreciate your guys' input on this. Thanks! -NoFun
Those five depending on how you do it might come out to be around 5k(it depends mainly on labor charges or if your doing it yourself and all the variations of the two that goes along with that). Now depending how you are going to do your performance mods such as injectors will determine which ones I recommend next, but those 5 will almost always prepare you whatever you decide to throw at it(some gauge and exhaust options might be different for different applications and hp/tq desires) and also make the stock truck that much more efficient.
I appreciate it Tex. Can anyone else think of anything else?
Let me ask you this, do you have any benchmarks that you want to hit with your truck? Any particular tq/hp numbers, stuff like that? Just wanting to stick with tuners as far as performance goes or you think you will go one with using drugs on the engine? Going to be a tower or just a dail driver or an occasional driver for fun? I would still stick with my 5 suggestions, but depending on what you do some might just stay as suggestions or might make it to the required catagory depending on how you want to achieve certain tq/hp numbers.
58 PSI on the ITP, and 60 PSI on the FASS(have to order the bigger spring to get 60 PSI on the FASS, comes with the 50 from the factory if you don't tell them differently).
If you do the studs I'd go ahead and do the EGR delete at the same time while you're in the area. Behind EGR valve issues and head gaskets, the EGR cooler is the next problem child waiting to rear its ugly head.
