hey guys i was wonderign what kifn of transfercase do i need to bolt to my zf 5 speed? will one out of a 90 f-250 auto work on my truck? my truck is a 90 f-250 with zf 5 speed. also how can you tell the difference between transfercases?

pretty sure its a BW 1356. thats what my 91 F250 has...mine's an auto but i think the standards were the same. the later x cases may fit too....the Bw 4406 or 4407??? that im not sure on..but i know mine has a 1356
ok thanks. I never looked at the transfercase and well really dont know much about them to be honest with you and wondered if it wouls fit any ideas how to identify them?
I am also in need of a new transfer case, been babying it along for about a year now. Mine has the slipyoke output, all of the automatics that I have seen have had a universal connecting the driveshaft to the t-case. Can I just swap the output shafts on the t-case to get them to work?
