Seems like a dumb question but I don't really know.
I have a hunch the front shackles on my truck are shot. However, I can't really see a good place to jack the truck up by the frame for me to even check if they have a bunch of play, or unbolt them and just look.
Any suggestions? Maybe I'll have to just do it from somewhere behind the axle.
jack it up by the axle, then put a jack stand under the frame. take the tire off, and drop the jack. that should give you plenty of travel to bottom out the springs and shock.
