I'm looking to put my genset up front. no room in the back and the bumper on the 5er is not all that sturdy. I've found three different brands, all similar, except; Hidden Hitch says I can't do it because I might have a blocker beam, Curt offers the product for either with or without a blocker beqam, and ACI makes no mention of a blocker beam. So what's a blocker beam ?
do front hitches make it hard to get to parts of the engine? it looks like you had to cut through part of a grill on your bumper, any problems with that?
that's a custom screen I made with heavy 1/8 inch vinyl ..we use a lot of sand up here in the winters on the road. there trying to save on salt.. ..stone's would get kicked up and they hit my IC a couple times and took out my windshield,,so I put that screen in there..your truck wont have it..but i does have the front plate holder there..so you will need to find a place for that..you can see what i did to mine..the hitch comes with brackets and every thing to put it on..pull the front bumper off..swap out the brackets..put the hitch on..put bumper back on..make sure the bumper is strait..tighten bolts..
