Yeah, ditto on what Spyder said. There were some tornados out west, and we had some local flash flooding last night here, but no problems out at our house.
Night fore last I was in gettin my bed time shot and bam........lightnin and thunder just outside the winder. Boy came home and said a tree was down. Was out yesterday and the blew this huge tree outa the ground and split i in half. It was close to a concrete slab and that wasblown out of the ground and standing on it's end.
But knock on wood, no nados so far this year. The south end of town I live in has been called tornado alley for the regular visits we have had in the past. Seems some folks up to our north and east (of KS) have not been so lucky.
over one thousand nados reported this year .. most on record... but none in Newton. Heep bunch of wind over the last few days... quite a bit of rain... Went down to Ark city the rivers and creeks are at the rim. Lot's of muddy water. Down south the wheat is just barely starting to turn, for those interested in wheat.
Sorry to hear that Chad, Let us know the damage, I have this weekend off, and would be glad to come up and help put the pieces of the puzzle back together.
my parents said 4-5 farms got hit back home again tonight. they said it was nasty AGAIN. that should put the tally at 14-16 tornado's in my county this year
