Hope you are having a wonderful weekend working on your truck and drinking beers..and not doing yard work...
To days puzzle is..I went and purchased and installed a Pertronix electronic point conversion kit (ignitor !!) yesterday and also retimed the engine 6 degrees BDTC. I also took out the plugs and notice they were the
small Autolite 25...and not the large BF-45 style that was listed on a website.
The only engine number I can find is ( D30E-9425-AA)
So what do I really have? Is it a 302?? what year?

thanks again to the experts!

Well D3 is 1973 but I thought the 302's had the large plugs until 78 or so....... maybe someone switched heads.............. Mine are 72 heads and they have large plugs and the backup/donor 78 302 I have has small plugs..............ah you are enjoying having an engine someone else built and pieced together I think
So you aren't sure it is even a 302?

Isn't that number the intake manifold #?

You can spot the difference between a 302 and a 351 by looking at the deck, at the front of the engine. 351's are noticeably taller.
