First I would like to start off saying my 1987 Bronco II Eddie Bauer Edition 4x4 5 speed with 165,000 miles on it goes 110 mph. Thats triple digits in a box! Anyhow it is the original 2.9l never rebuilt and the rockers or valves are ticking in it but thats gonna be fixed soon. I port matched my upper intake plenum to the gaskets and the throttle body to the plenum. Custom Cold Air Intake. Bosch Platinum +2 plugs. Taylor Thundervolt 8.2mm wires. Accel Cap and Rotor. Accel ignition module. Accel Coil. Gutted catalytic converter with a 1' piece 2.25" pipe or maybe its 2.5" im not sure and then a Cherry Bomb Turbo Muffler and another 2' of pipe with a turn down at the end before the axle. The rear axle ratio is the factor 3.45 open diff. Anyway what I am here to ask is which headers can i actually put on it? The pacesetters i thought are only for 2wd but my truck is 4wd which only leaves me with the option of $700 fo JBA headers? My exhaust sounds amazing now but i want the increased power and flow of headers. I will also be port matching my lower intake to the heads and upper plenum as well. This little bit of porting gives a pretty noticeable change in power or at least i think it did when i ported the upper and added a cold air intake
but my truck is an 87...or is that not going to matter? i dont care about the factory H pipe thats supposed to be on my truck cuz it happens to have a Y pipe for some reason so maybe it shouldnt matter. everyone says my truck is supposed to have a H but its a Y as far as it looking like a y at least
