Glad to see that you made it back fine. I don't blame you for hammering it on the way home...leave no doubt for the diesel tech when they pull it apart as to whether or not they'll replace it. Enjoy your new turbo!

I too just coded a PO299 today at roughly 20k mi. towing a 28' race trailer , factory stock tune / programing.
been driving 3 weeks and still on the road, and reset my code light using my sct xcal device.
after reading this thread, I too wonder if I will need a turbo when I get home ?(that is if it makes it back) I noticed an irratic boost condition and an underboost condition since it coded.
Been towing aprox. 10 hours/ day.
