basicaly turned my truck off, went to leave about 45mins later and truck wont start. it will turn over but no start..... replaced the cps and no fix..... any suggestions?
I was not looking, didnt think too. but i did empty the fuel bowl and turn the key on and the bowl never filled back up. that should mean its the fuel pump, correct?
ya i turned it over and it didnt fill it. ill go out and try turning it over again see if it fills. anything else i should try to check? i did notice some fuel in the valley too.
Checked oil level?
Check HPOP res level?
Did you remove/check the chip?
Tach moves?
If above is good you have to check ign switch then HPOP system.
Easy way to check the switch is to leave it in the run possition then go under the hood to jump the starter relay. If starts its the switch.
Has the truck been taking longer to startup lately?
There is a good chance after it cools down it will start. (cold soak)
Be shure with the fuel. It does not take much fuel for it to try and start.
bill seems to have this one covered pretty well so far, i agree the algae wont cause the problem you have at this point, it ran fine before you shut it down, algae would be more of a wot problem right now. concentrate on the basics for now.

Fuel is to low. Maybe from you draining it? Fill the can or check it after you have cranked it some.
If you look at the standpipe you will see a hole (valve) in the side of it.
When you install the filter it pushes down on the top of the standpipe.
It opens that valve. This valve allows fuel to flow.
checked hpop it didnt have any oil in it, filled it up,craanked the engine over a couple of times, still no start, cranked it over for about 3 min, still no start. my dad thinks its possible an electrical problem.
