Wieckster,
My buddy has one of those and theres a couple extra things we found that you will need.
First thing is a heating barrel.
He started with a drum and a band heater. It took around eight hours to heat the oil to 140* before pumping it into the Fuelmieser. I built him a heating barrel out of a metal 55 gal. drum with a 240 volt heating element welded in the side and a water heater thermostat. He can now heat the oil up to 140* in about 45 minutes.
The other thing is a drying system of some kind.
I made him a barrel with a circulating pump, heater and four spray nozzles. He can dry the fuel in just a couple of hours.
The other thing I saw that didn't make sense was the chart they give with the kit for how much lye to use. It is a lot less than any of the spread sheets on the web sites you can down load. (Biodiesel Recipe Calculator - Collaborative Biodiesel Tutorial)
I even did a test and used the math equation they say to use on the Bio community site and the numbers still are way lower.
I'm assuming they want you to use the lesser amount to try to prevent making soap with the wash system it uses.
Thats about it good luck.

No it doesn't heat and it doesn't dry. It mixes, settles and washes thats it.
My friend has been using his since the summer of '06.I met him after he had purchased it, he is not very mechanically inclined so he could not have built one himself.
I made my own system and use Magnesol because I wasn't too impressed with that system especially for that price.
Heres a link from another forum with some comments on the system.

PS: The plastic quick disconnect fittings broke in a few months.

Why? Why spend 4 grand when you can go here, and find plans for free, or complete kits for far less $$$$$$$$$$$ ??

I had my first successful batch this past weekend. I guess the 3rd time is the charm. I have learned a lot about this and I am almost done building my 40 gallon processor. Please take a look at the pics and let me know what you all think. Any suggestions/recommendations are greatly appreciated. I put this one and a 4 gallon (using 5 gallon jugs) processor together for my testing. Works pretty good though- especially now that I know what I am doing a little better.
