Covering small pieces in leather...

Taking some small parts and covering with some nice leather I have... from a couch that my grandmothers dog chewed the corners off of. I stripped the couch and have just been trying to find a reason to use it and now I am This is my first shot at covering and I am only using spray adhesive so if anyone has any pointers then please let me know

Looks good from here. It seems you are smoothing it down pretty well.

Did you try leaving a little extra around the holes to tuck it down? It looks good but kinda rough around those buttons.

No, I didn't tuck near the buttons I will more than likely re-do it after I move up to VA in a few weeks, I just needed to pull the door panels to swap in new speakers and thought I would give it a test run The leather is pretty thick though so I was worried about it catching on the buttons.
