I changed the oil and oil filter yesterday. When I was under the truck I noticed the fuel filter was exposed, meaning no protecting cover attached to the rail. I've changed the fuel filter twice in the 30K plus miles on the truck and can't remember.........is there a cover that attaches to the rail and keeps rocks and other stuff from hitting the filter?????

 

Both of mine have been exposed like that.

 

thanks Ken....I double checked Art's pic of his fuel filter and saw the same 2 holes on the rail that I saw....just thought something fell off because the holes that didn't have bolts in.

Just a little scared of losing that liquid gold that I work so hard for at $3.80 gal.
