need radiator

Does anyone know of a good place to buy a radiator for a 52 F3? I need one and was hoping someone could point me towards some good companies and warn me about the bad ones. Thanks.

Any chance you can have your original one re-cored by a local radiator shop? That would probably be the least expensive way to go. I didn't use an original radiator for my truck since I made an engine change...

Recoring is getting as expensive as buying a new one. I am also in search of a new radiator because my third radiator, the best I have, isn't all that good. It doesn't leak since I plugged it with a wad of epoxy and a can of stop leak. I know it's only a matter of time before this one with go.

I checked around in my area and it seems going price for a recore is around $500. LMC has one listed in their catalog for $300, LMC Truck Parts - Page 63

I also got a quote of, I think $400 for three core radiator from Radiator.com.

Just askin’ here now, no need to get all bent, but Fred Mott Racing on EBay has an aluminum rad 21 ½” h. x 21” w. x 2” d. for $ 310.00 plus ship, thinking about it for my 51 f1, sure would look pretty. If the al rads are so bad at getting corroded from the inside out don’t all the new cars have al cored rads? Some must last longer then I’m going to need it. Just askin’.

You know that I have been wrong before, don’t you?

Since I am not concerned about being stock. I too started out by getting a quote on a re-core $500.00 canuck bucks too at a local rad shop (two others didn't even want to touch it). The feller who said he would do the re-core said he had a few tested rads in the back that have been lying around a while. Found a 3 core Mopar rad. It is about 6" shorter and the width fits perfectly. Two small metal flanges to unbolt off the sides and just need to drill new mounting holes for the stock 48 rad mount locations. Will post pictures as soon as I get a chance. Here are the numbers off the top of the rad tank 2998 960 18398 part number maybe? Oh yeah, it cost me $100.00 and we retested it before I took it home. Call your local rad shop, you never know what they got kicking around in the back.....He also said it was from a early 70's dart, duster or road runner?
