I went with Grundy for my 49. I have no deductible, $25,000 agreed value and 6000 miles per year. Cost me $193. Here is some interesting info I learned over on the HAMB. With Grundy a agreed value of $25000 is cheaper than $20000 because they use different underwriters when the agreed value is $25000 or above. I was going to insure mine for $20000 but I checked it out and it is true. Naturally, I went with the $25000. Made my day!

did you have to have your truck inspected by a third party,to verify value?
My farmers guy recommened it..I had to settled on a listing as a hobbie truck .My orginal payments were as much as my wifes 2003 mustang.,.ouch but thats why they call calif the "golden state"

The only catch is, you have to be insured with AAA to be eligible for American Hobbyist Insurance. I have my house insurance with them.

I guess South Carolina has a bad rep. for drivers.....Grundy was only a few dollars cheaper than hagerty and were VERY strict on their useage allowances...when I asked if I a claim that occured at the grocery store (called running errands) they said that type of use is not allowed and didnt know if it would be covered or not.....
It's all a learning curve for me from here.
