I finally swapped my insurance over....

What's up....Just wrote a check to Hagerty. After talking with some other companies and my Allstate guy I went ahead and chose Hagerty.
No deductable, 25K agreed for $401\year. listed as a "modified"

I went with Grundy for my 49. I have no deductible, $25,000 agreed value and 6000 miles per year. Cost me $193. Here is some interesting info I learned over on the HAMB. With Grundy a agreed value of $25000 is cheaper than $20000 because they use different underwriters when the agreed value is $25000 or above. I was going to insure mine for $20000 but I checked it out and it is true. Naturally, I went with the $25000. Made my day!

that was discussed at work today, too. I would bet the folks who value their car over $25,000 aren't expected to hammer on it through rush hour traffic.

did you have to have your truck inspected by a third party,to verify value?
My farmers guy recommened it..I had to settled on a listing as a hobbie truck .My orginal payments were as much as my wifes 2003 mustang.,.ouch but thats why they call calif the "golden state"

You might want to check out American Hobbyist insurance (AAA). I have no deductible, $30,000 guarantee on the truck and $15k on my 66 Mustang. I'm allowed 8500 miles per year and I'm paying $235 a year for both vehicles. And I live in the "golden state".
The only catch is, you have to be insured with AAA to be eligible for American Hobbyist Insurance. I have my house insurance with them.

I guess South Carolina has a bad rep. for drivers.....Grundy was only a few dollars cheaper than hagerty and were VERY strict on their useage allowances...when I asked if I a claim that occured at the grocery store (called running errands) they said that type of use is not allowed and didnt know if it would be covered or not.....
It's all a learning curve for me from here.
