over heating problem
Okay, 95 F-150 with 130,000
Drives fine and air conditioning works great but when I stop in traffic for a minute the air turns warm and the engine temps jumps up. The rpm's don't increase. As soon as I start to drive the engine temp goes back to normal and the air conditioning turns cold again. I have read that some engines have a device that disengages the compressor when the engine heats up but I don't know if that is true or not. What do ya'll think is causing the sudden increase in engine temp?

Agreed.
With the engine cold, you can move the fan but it should be like turning it in mud. Also make sure the shroud is still installed. You can do a search on "Fan Clutch" for more information.

You need a set of special tools to change it though. I got mine at Pep Boys for about $20.00. AZ has it on their loan a tool for free Fan Clutch Wrench
