99 Expedition running rough after reaching normal operating temp.
Yesterday while driving home suddenly a misfire began. Seemed to increase when put under a load. Then rough at idle. It felt like it was running rich but, no smoke evident. Also, while under load the SES light illuminated intermittently. Then went away after no longer under load.
Cleaned the MAF, Throttle Body and air filter, drove it last night and was fine at idle and run up until the temp got close to normal operating temp.
I don't have a code reader with me so any ideas you might have would be appreciated.

No I'm at work for two days without the Expedition. I will be getting a code scanner tomorrow and scanning on Thursday. Thanks for the help. Do you know what the codes will be if it is a COP.
There is no code specifically stating there's a bad COP. You will more likely get a code P0301-P0308. This code indicates a misfire and the last digit is the cylinder number it is occurring in. But by having the code you can continue you diagnosis on just the one cylinder causing the misfire instead of all 8.

Sometimes after warm, if antifreeze is evident in the plug hole, it will vaporize and allow a cracked COP boot to ground out.
If you have a cylinder misfire due to a plug or COP it will pull a P0301 if it's cylinder 1, 302 for cylinder 2 etc. keep in mind the #1 plug is front passenger side going straight back to #4, #5-8 on the drivers side, front to back.
I'll pick up the code reader in the morning and be heading home from work. After I check it I'll post any codes to let you know what showed. Thanks for the advice so far.
Just ran the code reader and the P1131 Lack of HO2S11 Switches Lean code appeared. O2 Sensor? What have you guys found on this one? I replaced the PCV and vacuum line around the intake manifold last year and that was a different code anyway.
It a lean condition on bank 1 (pass side), upstream O2 sensor. Usually a lack of fuel pressure (fuel pump pressure or fuel filter clogged), a vacuum issue but it sounds like you are aware of the elbow issue on the pass side, or a plugged injector issue.
I'd change the fuel filter first if not done so as it's a pretty simple job with the quick connect tool.
Ok, got back home from work after 5 days. This time I got ahold of another scanner tool I have used in the past. Here are the results: P0136, P0156, P1131 and P1151. The car has been sitting now for nearly a week. Started it and rough idle. Ran it long enough to get it into the garage and scan it. All this happened after a good amount of rain. Do you think its possible that the connectors got water on them, corroded then sent bad signals?
Well I checked fuse 23 and it was good. Today I changed the upstream Bank 1 O2 sensor and Bank 2 downstream that the codes were showing. Then cleared thcodes still running like it had a fouled plug. tok it for a drive and it showed a misfire and code P304 he readed cylinder #4. what are your thoughts on a COP and hard is it to get to and R&R?

Pull your hoses back out of the way with some rope to make it easier to access. It might just be a COP boot but last time I was in there, I changed the COP to a new unit just because I didn't want to take a chance and have to access it again if bad.
Several extention sizes, a good plug socket with foam insert, and duct tape the socket and extentions together to not loose them while trying to pull the plug out. I also taped the 8 mm socket to a short extention for the COP bolt, just to not loose that under the manifold. take your time as most of this will just be by feel.
