I'm going fishing . . . check my list of spare stuff please.

Heading down to the Sea of Cortez on the Baja side in a couple of days. I've been mostly concentrating on getting the boat and fishing stuff ready but I need to be sure I've got the necessities for the truck too.
Here's what I have.
  • Plenty of tools
  • CPS
  • Serp. belt
  • gallon of oil
  • couple quarts ATF
  • fuel filter
  • diesel kleen
  • sack of cash to trade for liquid gold
What else would you take if you were going from Idaho to Mexico for two weeks?

... a fishing pole...

I'd say you're fine. I feel like i can take my truck on long trips and not worry about being stranded.
I would however add a flat-fix kit just incase you take out the spare...

good one. That's about how it'd work. So worried about the details that I forget something like that.
Hadn't though of flat repair. Thanks.

I always carry a plug kit and fix a flat to fill up the tire after I plug it. Works great you dont want to depend on fix a flat alone.

Cell phones have taken over most my mobile tool box's job, well sort of. Almost 100.74% to -0.351 of the time you aren't going to be able to imagine what could go wrong. You just can't be prepared for the worst better than today's cell phones and a good winch, a chain saw, some jerky, water, tape, rope, a shovel, a tug boat, a tug boat horn, a anti-cost diesel card, some engine fix-it spray..................meh, Have fun by the way. Sounds like a nice trip!

Add a spare smooth and ribbed idler pulley and I think your set for most road side repairs, oh and a 500 gallon fuel tank as I hear Mexican fuel is pretty cheap yet!

Thanks for the input guys. Pretty much everything y'all have mentioned was or is now part of the pile. Anything else anybody can add will be appreciated. I'm planning on not being able to find anything once I cross the border.
Stuff added today:

I know it was mentioned but duct tape and bailing wire are good for most fixes. Also think about super glue and or gorilla glue and some JB Weld it fixes anything. I always have some JB.
