Anyone have any ideas? I have a '93 F-150 with the 300 6 cyl, I have replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, & coil. The truck starts easy, runs smooth and strong when it's cold, but as it warms up, it starts running rough, and doesn't seem to quite have as much spunk. Shut it off, let it cool clear off, and it will do the same thing again next time. It's not rough enough to make it jump and lurch while at speed, but let it idle down in neutral, and you can see the gearshift shaking. And putt-ing along just above idle in gear, it seems to want to lurch around a little. I'm lost!
This answer is going to be vague, sorry. My 95 does basically the same thing. I've been trying to figure out exactly how the air controls and fuel system change after it warms up, because it's got to be related to that, OR maybe an o2 sensor in the exhaust system after it heats up doesn't work right and throws things off.
Thanks for all the advice! I think I will take it to a friend who has a code reader. Someone had told me that the '93 was too old to be able to hook up to see codes. So, I will try that first. I will post again once I find out what is going on with this truck. I really enjoy driving it, although the wind does whistle through the holes rusted through the bed and fenders!
