Range Rover Sport Headlight Conversion...Your Thoughts!!
This is just an idea. I did it in photoshop. 2006 Range Rover Sport Headlights. Everyone's thoughts welcome. As of now this is one of my plans and i'm very positive it can be done I am just looking for opinions. Everyone will disagree because everyone has their own style but like i said...all opinions welcome!
to each his own. it doesnt flow quite right witht the fat rounded fenders. it will definately take some skill though. i think it looks rather like an out of date transformer. definately take pics of the build. id like to see the finished product. maybe just retro fit the hids into the old headlights??
well you asked, doesn't do a thing for me. In fact the more I look at it the more I dislike it. But it's your truck and the only person you have to please is you.
In a word-yuck! It looks like you had some contemporary light units laying around and needed a place to use them. I think you should keep the ideas flowing as I'm sure you can come up with something that will enhance the truck rather than call such attention to the lights. Just my opinion.....as stated earlier it is your truck, beat your own drum.
I think it looks horrid, you asked and that's my honest opinion. I looks like you have a bubble machine in each fender. Doing this to a fat fendered truck would be capital offense, or at least it should be.
The next worse modification, by a long shot, would be to install a front clip from a '51-52 Ford.

You go Bob....stir that pot!! LOL
Personally I don't like it, but then again I'm not a big fan of the big modular headlight thing anyway. I've seen a few pics of trucks with late model modular headlights molded into them and to me they just don't look right. The lights don't quit emesh with the curves of the truck.
Its your truck though, and if you like it....go for it
I figured alot of ya'll wouldn't like the idea. LOL I appreciate your honesty though! In my opinion, the headlight assembly is flat on the front like the front end and the outer lip curves around pretty close to the same shape as the front fenders. I'm thinkin it might flow nicely once it's all done and it won't be as horrid as most of ya'll think. This was very quick thing done in Photoshop so the actual dimensions may be off quite a bit and make the lights look kinda bulky or out of place. Also, the inside rounded part of the light would be molded into the grille in the same manner as the Range Rover Sport. If any of you better skilled Photoshop guys would want to give it a try and make it look a little better that would be cool too. Thanks guys.

I think it would probably look better in person than in these photochips. Something between the F150 and RR headlights could do the trick. But keep the grill stock. It's already sharp.
I'm really liking the F-150 lights but the Mini Cooper's aren't doin it for me. I'm wanting to do something that nobody has done yet...which i'm sure everyone can agree it's everyone's goal in this industry! I'm gonna agree with seventyseven250...i think it would look a million times better in person myself! Keep in mind too that i'm not planning on building a "restored" truck but a streetrod...chopped, sectioned, and shaved. This is just my style and i know everyone is not going to like my style...i just like the idea of doing something that seems like the impossible. Thanks once again guys, and if anyone else has any ideas or comments please feel free to speak your 2 cents.
