I'm going to upgrade my sound system and haven't pulled the trim off the doors yet. What size speakers are in the doors for a 2001 crewcab? Thanks for any info

6" x 8" will swap right in. I did a little trimming on my supercab rear doors and installed 6" x 9". They were real nice speakers, and already had them or I would of stuck with 6" x 8"s.
One thing that helped a ton on my truck was dynamat type sound deadening on the inside of the doors. Actually I used two layers of roof ice and water shield since I had two rolls in the shop.
I also stuffed polyfill that I got at the fabric store in my rear doors. Works great on the supercab, but on the crew cab dynamat type is all you can do.
I personally wouldn't use ice dam as a sound deadener. I did that a couple of years ago in my f150 and it really smelled like tar. I ended up ripping it all out and using the right stuff.
i plan on putting that b-quiet in the truck i bought every thing but having had a chance to put it in since i'm painting the floor board top and underneath with por-15 and frame rails so its going to be a project for a week of vacation
