6.0L Weight

Does anyone know the weight of a 2006 6.0L? I am also looking for the weight of a 2001 Cummins 5.9. Huge bashing agrument with a friend FORD VS DODGE. So far i am winning.

Well, trucks vary by about 1,000# depending on model.

But the motor, according to the powerstroke bible, weighs 966# including the oil. That's setup for an auto transmission apparently. The page says, "(auto with oil)".

So, what does a cummer 5.9 weigh?

My truck weighs 7480 Lbs when full of fuel, and with me in it. Its a supercab long bed 4X4.

i had to get my truck weighed after i bought it.
2005 Crew Cab Long Bed 4x4 Auto
around 7,800 lbs with an empty tank of fuel

8400 lbs. LB Crew Cab Dually diesel 4x4 full of fuel with driver in the seat.

Another one at 8400 lbs here. This is without me or passengers; but it is with a full fuel tank. It is from an official (and recently calibrated) weigh scale.
