Unhappy *&%# Idiot !!!!!!!!!

My wife drove her King Ranch Super Crew ('02) up to the school to exercise 2 nights ago, and parked it legally.

While excercising, one of the staff, came up to her and told her that a guy "backed into the drivers door, from across the street". Sure enough, the door is a total loss. Can't open it, nor the rear door.

The ins. adjuster called, and said, "It is still driveable isn't it !?!?"

NO bozo, not with the top of the door 1 1/2" away from the top. So, she told him it was going to rain, did he want to by the interior?? If so, she'd drive it in the rain !!!!!!

Supposed to get a guy out to the house tomorrow. (A local adjuster).

So who was the "*&%# Idiot !!!!!!!!!"?

The "bozo...ins. adjuster"?

The "guy" that "backed into the drivers door, from across the street"?

Or the "wife (who) drove her (gas guzzling) King Ranch Super Crew ('02) up to the school to exercise" I'm guessing alone?

Originally I was calling the guy that backed into her the idiot, but now that I think about it, I think the adjuster is in that same group as well.

hey elder, its America. if people want to drive gas guzzling vehicles let em. personally, i use my truck for work and play. its the only vehicle i have. i thought about this, the people who drive suvs/trucks for pleasure and i came to the conclusion that people can drive whatever they want. its there life. what the focus should be one is exxon and why they continue to make more money then ever by raising the price. we need to stop exporting oil and cap the price. war should be on the oil companys, not on foreign soil.

Yup. I can see you really "thought about" it.

IMO we're all in this together. Greedy, gluttonous, conspicuous consumers, along with the sharing, only in moderation, caretakers of the planet who'd like to see something left worthwhile for coming generations.

IMO its better to melt down & roll out 6000 lb Gas Guzzlers & build 3 highly efficient 2000 lb vehicles in their place. All 3 driven at the same time could easily burn less fuel than the single ego enhancing dinosaur. Its a clear case of the Greatest Good. If it was water, your attitude would mean the Comfort Addicts would choose to wash their behemoths & let others die of thirst.

Sorry to hear of your unfortunate problem with the &%# Idiot. It's apparent that the insurance adjuster is oblivious to what the KR interior is and would cost him to replace. Let's hope that it only gets better from here. Good luck!

Why don't you step down off your soapbox. If gas wasn't heading for $4/gallon, nobody would even be thinking about this. If you want to preach about melting down the "gas guzzlers" and making economy cars, I think you're on the wrong forum. It is a forum about trucks if I'm not mistaken.

In any case, it sounds like your adjuster is like most, an idiot.

i was only going to say sorry to hear about the idiot that hit the truck then how he has the misfortunateof dealing with a moron for a adjuster. now on to the other topic within this thread...

now to Club Wagon before you go off on the american consumer driving around in the horrible gas guzzling suv and trucks (oh NO) why not look at what is really behind the price inceases.. the american dollar is dropping in worth!!! this isn't a case of supply and demand like you see on CNN cause they are wrong and you are just as wrong to believe it.. Look at Iran they have already dropped the american dollar from their oil dealing cause it is worthless (other countries are about to do it too). So with that prices are inceasing at the pump is caused by what you have in currency is just as useful as toilet paper. well tp might be worth more.

Iran, the Euro and the falling American dollar « Living Journey

Weak Dollar’s Affect on Oil Prices: Does the Frail American Currency Influence World Petroleum Value?

How the falling dollar affects Americans | csmonitor.com

so keep saying it is the fault of the horrible person driving in a truck or suv instead of a car... we all cant be perfect like you by risking our lives (and familys lives) everyday driving around in a sardine can on wheels. When a honda civic can pull my trailers i might look into one. So, Please stop letting ol lying Al Gore brainwash you.

as for the "we are all in this together" stuff... BS... if that was the case then what you have is mine and what i have is yours.. this isn't that type of country (or should it ever be) so just forget that mentality.

now i'm not trying to start an argument or insult you, but you made it clear in a thread that had nothing to do with this subject that you wanted to vent about the high gas prices by saying the wife of the aurthor of this tread was so horrible for driving around in a truck by herself... OH NO call the cops she is driving around in what she wants to be in, it's not your dang decision on what she drives (or anyones but YOURSELF). if the aurthor was to complain of gas prices then that would be a different story.

Speak for your self Club wagon
I bought my truck new in July of 2000 when gas was around $1.60 a gallon.
The truck has only 43K on it because it is used for pulling the camper only.
I have an Escape to run around in and that is MY given choice.
I guess we all are supposed to give up our likes and our American dreams of wanting to hit the open road and take my family camping because of a few Greedy gluts in the corporate world who are raping us to make billions of dollars for all of their stock holders.
I didn't buy my truck for an ego boost. It was simply bought to pull my camper... again my choice...
Way to go Rebelyell618!!!!

You don't have to justify crap. You wanted a truck and you bought it. Me to. We both use them, but even if I didn't I would still want a huge truck because I like them.

tought crowd tonight! Whats the deal Club. You got a BIG Van and a F150. Since when are you speaking out aginst trucks? And to those who think Mobil or Texaco are raking in the money, think again. You put money in savings and want to get 7% return. The local mom and pop shop trys to get a decent 7% return each year. Mobil also gets 7% return on THEIR SALES. Its just that they are 1000 times bigger so their profit is in the billions, but its still 7%. Do your research and see whats really going on!

Now I can't say for sure, so this is mere speculation based on personal corporate world experience, but while the shareholders at the big companies may be getting 7%, the top level exec's are doing just fine off of all these billion dollar quarterly results. Most corporate incentive plans pay off very well to the top level exec when the expenses are kept in check and the profits are outstanding. My guess - and it is just a guess - is that the top exec's are making money hand over foot and have been for a while now. Maybe they didn't for all those years when gas was hanging around $1.50 or so and so they are making up for lost time. But I suspect that contracts and incentive plans have been modified to be sure that the top brass is making the cash.

At the same time, the thousands of employees worldwide for these companies are also making money and hopefully putting it back into the economy. It just seems like the corporation is taking more out than they are putting in by a long shot. It just feels greedy and that's what no one likes about it. God bless America for giving us all the opportunity to make a bunch of money and find happiness if we can, but nobody likes it when your enterprising and hard work make you greedy at the expense of everyone else.

Still, the system has a way of putting things back into perspective - kind of like mother nature. You just have to weather a few storms in the process.

Sure its a "forum about trucks". Don't think I'm on the "wrong forum" having owned FORD trucks since the early 70's.

I don't stress so much about the high price as I do about the rapid consumption of finite resources & who profits from Earth's riches. IMO the difficulties ahead related to "supply and demand" are inevitable.

Most people on Earth would think the idea of having to drive anything anywhere for the expressed purpose "to exercise" was strange. Bush, the Great Divider, has tried to reduce our Democracy & Union into some other "type of country" where we are NOT "all in this together".

We are a hiccup away from $5 gas, even as US demand declines. Bush's 'Have More' constituents have had the green light to do "whatever they want" for nearly 8 years. Unfortunately that's included organized gas price fixing/gouging.

Think about the future, they pay not us.

I think there are more people that ARE willing to give up their less fuel efficient cars and trucks these days. It is very apparent here, drivers are using smaller cars everyday because they have too.

Here is a thought.
I would rather have a roof over my head, clothes on my back and food on the table than feed any of my trucks.
Priorities? are yours similar?

Here is another thought.
You would be foolish to think that fuel prices will go down to prices of even a year ago. A previous poster mentioned that fuel was 1.60 in 2000, this 100% increase in fuel prices is just plain crazy. Consumerism is alive and well, bigger trucks = more fuel = consumerism/consumption. Oil companies like when we consume.
If you think about it, the oil companies do not care what you drive, so we are all guilty of consumption no matter what we drive, but using less would be a wiser choice.

I JUST CHOOSE TO USE LESS FUEL EVERYDAY THAN I USED TO, it is bottom line economics in my household. I guess I am also having a personal protest against the oil companies. ( I may not do it single handedly, but it is worth a shot.)

I hope more people do feel the same way - REAL SOON!

Maybe more people should do the same, but if you feel the need to spend WAY too much to have your freedom, go ahead.
IF you decide to make an effort to use less carbon based fuels, more power (pun not intended) to you.

This fossil/petrol fuel will run out one day, so we all will have to get used to driving autos with an alternative fuel to propel them.

Get on the more efficient auto bandwagon now, before it is too late.
I'd rather ride than push.
