If I drank a beer right now, I'd pass out! Man, I am sooooo tired right now. I just got back from doing a couple of laps around the plant, just to help wake me up!

Yep. Just tell them your doing inventory, and you have to count to see how many it takes to cover your office.

Or you could say you read a study where they said its easier to think when lying down. And you thought you would experiment to test the theory. For science of course

We're still tossing the idea around... It's a tough decision for me. I've got a pretty decent job now, and there isn't anything like this one in Colorado right now. I'm hoping maybe my skill set will be a little more in demand as the old-farts retire! (That is if companies stop sending all their IT stuff off-shore! Don't get me started on that supposed money-saving farce.) I might be able to work a deal where I can work out of a home office that way. As it is now, most of the folks I work with are scattered all over the place and I rarely see them face-to-face.

But, the cost of living in Colorado is so high these days... we can buy a mansion here for what they want for a starter-home out there.

I know what you mean about the outsourcing crap. FDR is sending 400 jobs out, and letting all of those people go. It would be nice if there was some way to boycott them, so maybe they'd think twice. I guess big business in this country is okay with puttting all of us out to work, as long as they can save a buck.

Well, I hope you stay around. You'd be alot farther away there than you are now man!

I was talking with a guy a I worked with at UP, they are sending more off shore too... even though it caused more problems that it was worth while I was there. It is such a joke. Nothing like an 8 - 12 hour time difference, language barrier, cultural issues, etc, all on top of normal business demands.

We are definitely at a cross-roads. We really like the schools here for our 1st and 4th graders. We can get a decent house here, it's a fairly slow-paced place too.

But, my folks are not getting any younger and both the wife and I really love that Colorado climate. After my trip out there later this week, I'll have my fill of the hectic pace and traffic jams, so it will make me appreciate these parts once again!

I'm trying to think if I've seen any around for parts. For some reason I think I did, but I can't think where. If my brain ever wakes up today, I'll come up with it! I'd put a post up in the wanted/for sale thread asking for what you need also.
