Supposed to start at 9am this morning and circle around the capital (heard on the way in this morning) more power to them, I hope they clog the hell out of DC traffic! not that it can get any worse than it already is on a daily basis

Talked to my retired sister this morning, they're feeling it, just in everyday needed items. Have been for about a month. They've never really complained about gasoline because they're used to not being able to afford that.

All the power to them. I think the best that the truckers could hope for is that they start getting paid better to cover the cost of fuel. Unfortunately, I don't think anything will happen to the price of fuel. I could be wrong though, I hope I am.

My Dad has been a trucker his entire life....and retired in December. I think he is more relieved then anything, he has had to raise his hauling rates like 5 times in the past 18 months! Customers just don't get how expensive it is for the truckers right now! Their prices go up for fuel........our prices for EVERYTHING will soon follow!

Yeeeehaaw, go get 'em, and while they're at it why don't they haul a bunch of those politicians back to wherever they came from(the politicians, not the truckers).

just saw it one the news. doesn't seem like their getting that much attention though. i agree with them, but what exactly did the last one accomplish?

all those dump trucks should be loaded with manure, that way they can leave them something to think about.

It drew attention to it. I don't think anyone gives a rat's @$$ about diesel prices -- but now that it's double what it was a year and a half ago, maybe folks will begin to understand why it costs are going up for everything else. It's a absolute ludicrous situation that none of the powers that be care to fix. These guys (all of them, not just the "evil oil-rich Republicans) sit on their cans collecting those record tax revenues from the oil companies while we get raked over the coals. It's gonna have to give, or this country will be brought to its knees soon.

EDIT: They're coving it pretty good right now on Fox News.

they just put out a statement that if something doesn't happen by May 5, they are going to halt all deliveries (emergency items the exception). i wonder just how many are on board for this?
