Hey my Friends,I was doing some reading and I wanted to know if Ford made contractors specials in 73-79?
Any pictures of any of them?
Did they only make them in 67-72?
Good question, i know the bumpsides had em, they came with an onan generator under the hood, don't recall ever seeing a dentside contractor special though.

76SCS.
You asked me this question earlier and I told you: 1969/72
There's not one mention in the parts catalog after 1972 about any Contractors Specials.
There's an illustration of the features these trucks had in the 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog-Section 270, Page 3. (I told you this, too) and all the parts numbers are from 1969.
The tool boxes mounted on top of the bed sides (quarter panels) with brackets-Styleside pickups with 8' ft beds only.

Wow...I actually learned something from this thread, normally don't from the original poster's threads. Sorry you had to post again NumberDummy after you already told him...but your info did teach me.
You know the history.
The OP askes a question, gets detailed info from fellow members, fails to respond, then asks the same question again....and again....and again...ad nauseum.
The OP sent me P/M after P/M earlier this morning, I gave him all the info.
Now here he is again, asking the same friggen questions.
I also made the mistake of telling him all about the Farm & Ranch Specials.
That'll be his next series of questions. "Did they make any 1973/79, or are they all 1967/72?"
1969/72 was when Ford made them, and all a F&R Special has, is some wooden boards that fit into the beds stake pockets front/right/left.
I just gotta learn how to scan and post from a CD.
Mebbe he'll believe the parts catalog illustrations, tho I kinda doubt it.
