Two Things from work

Just thought that I'd pass on a couple of funny items from my workplace. Both happened some time ago.

1. The birth of a conservative;
This is a real ad placed in our internal newspaper

"Will trade fine art prints for firearm "

I'm just guessing, but I think that a liberal was mugged.

2. Know your system
We used to have an online job posting system. This was in the early days of networking, and there were limitations on the space available. I also don't think that you would know if you exceeded the alotted space.

Anyway, somebody posted a job for Corporate Research Associate -- only the last word got shortened to 3 letters total Of course, this was a popular topic for a while. Somebody suggested that they were really looking for test setups for labs in the medical division. Got us all to visualizing a palletload of these things, possibly to be used for testing hemmorhoid creams and the like.

The posting did get fixed in about a week.
