axle seals
hi there does anyone know if the axle seals from a 98 ranger with the 8.8inch anxle are the same as a 08 with the 8.8 inch xle all input asap would be breat i have a friend that needs to travel tommorow and her seals are shot, she is a paramedic and all we could get where seals for a 98, thanks all info would be great and as soon as possible

Probably the same part. I know the '98 and the '02 Ranger rear axle drive pinion seals (8.8 inch) are the same. Ford base Part No. 4676.
Question: If the truck is an '08, it must still be under warranty, no?

yeah it was still under warranty, the seals were wrong however, the ones from a 7.5 were right though, but yes it is warranty, but dealers all closed today and my friend is a paramedic up in the north and has to leave today on a 500 trip back to work on a horrible gravel and isolated road. so wanted to get it done for her so she does not have any problems, or break down in the middle of nowhere
